But FranXX seems to up it's game every episode and become worse

the lore in this episode should have been revealed 5 episodes ago

if the show was 12 episodes long the pacing would actually work because everything would be condensed by 2

I mean, it is clear they are building to something. how good the show ends up being overall will probably depend on what exactly that is and how muhc bullshit we have to go through before we get there

The basic formula I see is frieza and 17 hold off jiren as long as possible before getting eliminated, then goku magically regains his strength and ring outs jiren

why bother bringing freeza back if all he's going to do is ringout

it makes more sense narratively for him to win alone

Yeah, give him god of destruction powers or whatever

have goku fail and none of the universes get restored
