I do not rate things until I am done watching them
for this very reason
Made in abyss went between a 10 and a 7 as I watched it, so rating it early would have been wrong
for example
started as a 10, dropped down to a 7-8 in the middle for a bit because of how slow it got, then jumped to a 9 by the end
I do the same. Although, I don't rate all the shows I watch, I would never rate them before the finish. Mirai Nikki for example, I found to be very very good at the start, but it derailed imo
Ended up rating it 7
(I'm very nice with my ratings)
My usual score for most shows is a 7
I take the scores literally, 7 means it was good

gave gamers a 6, it was fine, not really good, but I did not hate myself while watching all of it
I only rate the ones I found to be excellent, so that's why I typically only give out 8s and 9s
