I appreciated the challenge though it was very interesting to see that the whole jrpg trope of "the strongest enemy you'll ever face is yourself" actually included strats that I'd been using like a dedicated speed control support bot

and the bastard also gets to use items

hiandromon is a stunbot that spams aoe status and atomic ray, megagargomon sets double damage and then spams aoe, rosemon is a dedicated support bot with speed control and debuffs

they have a copy of every mega from the starters' natural evolution lines with dedicated roles

the scariest moment of the masters cup tho is the end boss where you fight yourself

he had his moment during the final tournament, he tanked a friggin omnimon zwart for two turns while I revived the team

my final aesthetically pleasing team with 3 of each attribute and 2 free types

all the superbosses, all the main quests, and all of the offline tournaments

int doubles as magic offense and defense think of it like gen 1 special

they're exactly opposites as it were, blissey has a lot of hp and special defense while platinumnumemon has his base defense capped at 999 and absurdly low magic stat and health

the joke is minmaxing, both of these guys have an absurdly high single defense while completely lacking in the other, meaning they wall one damage type forever and get instakilled by the other type Dane I dont get it but I approve and like it

I lucked out and my item farm coughed up a few tactician usb so I've been farming exp for all my megas and platinumnumemon

and I'm really glad that it's like this because it encourages me to try new things with my mons

even though I've been more than prepared for the entire game I've never felt that it's too easy

even on normal shitmons they don't die instantly and when the game has you fighting a serious fight it can really put some pressure on you but you're never really in danger of just hard wiping

I think it's like, the perfect level of challenging

I'm using a difficulty patch made by a friend that gives all enemy digimon a 20% boost to their stats except defense so it's like a mediumcore mode between normal and hard

I'm liking it quite a lot, to me it feels like a very well-designed smt or persona game, like everything is very deliberate and fine-tuned so even though I'm rocking a whole team of ultimates by chapter 8 the game isn't a total breeze Polar_ How are you enjoying Cyber sleuth? I was thinking of playing it again soon
