also there are so many checks with this game, even the slightest bit of bad luck can result in you and someone else being stuck in a loop of softlocks

you can finish the teleporter to reset the stage and go back to there but you can't actually make progress

and so on and so forth

you cannot leave stage 1 until you find the thing that says stage 1 and also a stage 2 to visit

the trick is that the stage clear checks are locked Phijkchu_Pikachu yeah ror2 seems to work in an okay way

it's either the most fun you've ever had with the game or you get softlocked within like 20 minutes of play and have to sit there and wait for someone else to find what you need

take it from me having played ror2 in past archipelago with some other friends legorhin i am hesitant to do roguelikes

if we're doing archipelago I could play risking rain 2

there's 2 seasons of it and then a third bonus one which I don't think can also be called xros wars like it is because it is its own thing and also not nearly as good as the first two seasons
