I think one of the biggest factors for its growth is casual modes, simplicity, but also they had a lot of weekly tournaments with pro players coaching vtubers

SF6 in Japan is actually a phenomenon, its super massive. Its actually become an issue for ranked top 500. Asia has so many people who hit Master rank (when your points are now counted in the pool) that its pretty much impossible to get into top 500 outside of Asia. I think the current number is ~8 players not in Asia
