Oberstein's dog gets a spotlight episode. It really does justice to the final bit in book 4 in which Reinhard carresses his amulet. And I don't think the OVA does justice to this particular bit of amulet carressing. Maybe they didn't have the budget, or maybe they just didn't have the technology back then where the show makers couldn't imagine what it looks like for Reinhard to hold his amulet in this particular way.

At least this one (book 4) has my favourite line of foreshadowing in the final chapter. Though you can get that from watching DNT. Book 5 is kind of worth it for Bewcock's aide's backstory.
