What's interesting about the Bilewater boss is that his attacks that spawn adds, don't REALLY spawn adds, like the adds just leave after attacking once. So, you can consider his "adds" to just be disjointed attacks. Actually one of the few good design decisions from that boss.

I read that tweet and thought for a moment that they made a manga or something out of Rance 01, which I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

I think it's weird when people use "read" for visual novels. Like, I get it, it's called a "novel" but it's still a game. Or, at least Rance is, I know some VNs are quite literally just reading.

My bigger complaint was that the puzzle shard rewards were always like 30 shards, which is literally nothing when I spend over 100 every boss attempt

idk, I was literally never at full shards except at the beginning of the game before I had any fun tools

It adds a second reward for exploring so you're incentivized to look at every nook and cranny. I guess. That's my best argument.
