TinyBomby games
I have not indeed ChivesKirk You probably haven't played the original Romancing SaGa but the overworld encounters are so abundant if you don't kite them on certain screens you can end up in very long gauntlets. What's worse is that the enemies scale to your level but not exactly, so you will typically end up in a coupl

Oh yeah, I don’t like fighting them in the overworld. ChivesKirk I'm talking about games where either one, you are fighting them real-time in the overworld, or two, the game is not balanced well.

I’m replaying SMT 4A right now, and it’s a good balance IMO. Most of the overworld encounters are too fast for you to run away from, and sometimes they’re blocking a narrow hallway so you have to battle them.

It’s just a common joke that nobody plays P1 or 2. I’ve not played them either, but that’s mainly because I don’t want to deal with random encounters.

I've been recently playing through every Pokemon game with 0 EXP (no pokemon can level, just have to catch new pokemon constantly) and my opinions on a lot of the games have become much more cemented because of it... Sadly I couldn't find a mod for SV, but I have no idea how it would go.

But yeah, I refused to play SV for a very long time, but my friend kept going on and on about how it's the next greatest thing and it legit may be his favorite pokemon, so I finally played it, and was thusly underwhelmed.

really? I feel like it's the opposite for me. If I go into something expecting to like it, I'm often disappointed. Rusp I think it also helped I went into arceus and sv expecting to like them too

I had my cousins son over, 8 years old, and let him play on my Pokemon Scarlet and he had insane fun just flying around on Miraidon and catching random things. I dunno why, but I just can't enjoy that.
TinyBomby nintendo
Extremely fair take, but I disagree. I hate catching pokemon. Sitting there mashing the A button takes the life out of me. Same reason, somewhat, why I didn't enjoy Legends Arceus. Rusp I just like catching pokemon

The open world is just really boring when there's no real motivation to interact with anything in it. I guess I could be catching pokemon, but if there's an objective, I want to go to that and ignore everything else.
TinyBomby nintendo
That surprises me. I was fairly bored throughout my entire playthrough. I didn't think it was awful, I mean I did finish it at least, but it felt very uninspired. I was going through the motions.
