3H students were fine, distinct and semi-unassuming which sorta was undermined by the time skip and them all needing to change

I'm not the person who needs muh waifus or goonbait
or they do the Fates thing, and the bonus fights give dick all for EXP
I also get the sense that the entire between-mission spending time mechanic will be WAY more min-maxy than the school was in 3H
And I'm assuming a good ending will require not using your soul powers, which makes the whole inclusion lame if the story is going to be as mediocre as it seems to be
Hard to imagine the characters being worse than 3H, but they are definitely trying to make them seem that way
It's better than the school setup, but I still think the whole story approach is just uninteresting
(still not buying a Switch 2 for it though)
I probably had just not payed any attention to the story reveals they'd done prior, this is just stupid enough that I like it
