That’s the other thing too is these civ simulators are whitelisted so there’s at least somewhat of a barrier to entry against troublemakers (blatant griefers and non participants, people who do things like form bandit gangs and stuff aren’t included in that)

Mmos feel like a tough sell these days unless you have a good ip or an experienced dev team to carry it I think the league of legends mmo will be pretty popular at first for that reason

I think one day, there’ll be a game that hits the trifecta of content, server optimization, and survival mechanics that will make something like this possible, but it’s possible it won’t amass enough of a following to do anything with it anyway

Yeah, there was a video that came out recently about civilization sims in Minecraft and why they usually miss the mark on what actually made it necessary to create kingdoms and nations in real life, and they brought up that while other existing games would probably be more useful for that, they don’t have nearly as muc

Yeah it was a weird choice for an OP, but the ED for this season is really good as an ED so maybe they just had trouble choosing legorhin the OP of the first episode of Ranma season 2 seems like it should be the ED
