not physicals, but yeah. while I do use my kindle unlimited for a bunch of books mostly for convenience, and most of the books I read on there are hard to find elsewhere. do pirate any big publisher or classical books, then buy paperback/hardcover once I finished reading if I really liked it to support author, or show off on bookshelf, and just for rereading

I own a lot of physical textbooks because I do prefer physically holding a book
I also pirate a lot of textbooks lol
I don’t read
Maybe, but reading is boring
I don't read because I don't have the time to on top of the stuff I am already doing
not that I have any issue with reading, and the handful of times I do, I enjoy it
So most of my 'reading' is just academic texts at this point
I like audio, so I tend to prefer to enage with things that have audio
I save books more than I do other forms of media, since I like reading
which counterintuitively means I end up reading less,
but yeah, unless I want to own a book to put on a shelf, I pirate 100% of books I read
Someone will inherit my wall of textbooks
who, no idea
but someone is being burdened with that

Thoughts on audio books?

I would rather just read
I meant audio in the sense that, I like music and what not
Replying to TinyBomby #tinybomby I've never liked audio books personally. I will absolutely forget anything someone tells me immediately.
agree, I've never understood how people drive to audiobooks
if you're going to listen to filler, you can find a podcast or youtube slop to put on

I usually do music, but yeah I've done podcasts too. Either way, I'm not going to really be paying attention or remembering any of it.
I feel like with an audiobook, I'd want to actually follow along, rather than tuning in/out like I would with a podcast/radio/youtube
yeah, that makes more sense then
there are some non-slop podcasts I also don't drive to
those are my plane podcasts
based
that was me
the show is funny-bad
though I think the entire book series is pretty goofy, yet some people swear by it being some deep philosophical sci-fi
