Democracy requires flexibility Quoting New York Post (@nypost ︀ Internet goes nuts over Gavin Newsom’s odd ‘testicle-crushing’ sitting pose trib.al/hcTclj3 💬 5.2K 🔁 2.2K ❤️ 47.9K 👁️ 11.47M
him specifically replying to the cbt quote is funny
I feel like Newsom is betting hard on self-deprecation comedy
He only started doing this at the start of the year too
it's his counter to polling saying he was wildly unlikable
1) Try to win Dems over by just fighting fighting fighting Trump (via collecting internet updoots)
2) Try to win Republicans over by being "funny" like Trump
I feel like if you were a doomed longshot candidate like Newsom
maybe
this has the highest % chance of working
idk if I think that
but yeah, one day after we hang all the current politicians
the next crop will be competent and respected
we'll just keep resetting until we get a good seed
true!
That would be going into politics
hence, you would not be a good person
Anyways anyone who wants to win in politics
A) is angry enough about a specific thing to want to do it to deal with that specific thing
B) Is a vain, evil person who should never win
99.9% of politicians are B
local level you can get some of A
A sometimes the thing they are angry about is the current guy in charge
I feel like the vain self-important politicians are less evil than the 3rd group
C) They intend to personally enrich themselves
Sure I guess you can split B into a vain group and that
the vain ones are usually bad by virtue of being beholden to interests around them, in order to maintain their status
Either way, there is only one group that is actually good, and almost no politician is that group
agreed
