Leg, I read that interview too, I go back to I think Nintendo executed 10% of the idea that would have been wildly successful 5 years ago
that was the one use for trackball mice as a kid
you could use them on weird surfaces or your leg/arm
Switch OLED has a better screen as well
that's the big one
kids just don't care that much about Nintendo in general
outside of pokemon sorta
Switch 2 being a "personal" console again also probably hurts them
I still think the endgame for Nintendo is a cloud console
play anywhere, subscription fee
release a Switch lite handheld or w/e to still have that product line
but everything is cloud streaming on the backend
people playing on their phones, on PCs, on their smart TVs, etc.

I also just know a lot of kids who got switches, and then sorta stopped caring about dedicated "games machines" in general
