i have gotten no shinies in any pokemon game before this

so its not just "do encounters until you run into one"

I honestly think the “loading 100 at a time” is enough of a boost

i bet there were many times in other games you could of had a shiny, or it was next on your RNG counter

you went to the next zone

or did something else

by seeing them you just kinda know

I think shinies are a lot better like this
