The assumption with the delay is Nintendo wants 2-3 "big" games to launch alongside it

Assuming the only reason for that was because the 3d effect prevented cross play

Yeah its likely that’d be the case

I just think they’d be stupid not to capitalize on the millions of switches already out there if they didn’t need the switch 2’s hardware. (If it does though, we’re in for a banger, hopefully)

If it was meant for switch two I don’t see why they wouldn’t just wait to announce it when the switch 2 got announced

They wouldn’t have to do anything new, they just gotta do the same thing as before but with more multiplayer capability

The more people can share the admittedly dull AC experience with others will lengthen the shelf life and get people buying it to play with their friends
