If 3ds game modding ever became popular, an "Ultimate Sun and Moon" Which removed tutorial and pacing issues from gen 7, unretcon'd what USUM did, and gave more toggle options, that would be a top 5 pokemon game
Makes sense, I assumed not all Megas are created equal so some are just busted for sweeping/stalling while others are just slightly better versions of themselves
It fixed a lot of the power creep problems going on for a while. Base power of many moves was reduced, fairy was introduced, megas were more balanced compared to gen 7, hazard spam was more punishable
Looking back on it, talonflame is the only pokemon from gen 6 (not including megas) that was even viable in OU, so it was almost like a fixed version of gen 5
