office coop but one player gets to be the shitty boss and force all hands on deck teambuilding exercises and bullshit meetings, then when the actual work starts can just fuck off and go play a fully working golf game none of the other 3 players get to see

Beast of reincarnation wasn't very good
I got ~5 hours in, it is apparently 20 hours long and I wasn't going to finish it
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 Beast of reincarnation wasn't very good
yea i remember seeing there wasnt really a reason to use many of your Beastamon and there were only like 3 or so types
the character designs were the best part, all of the combat, pokemon, leveling, zones, enemies, and bosses ranged from bad-to-mid
it's also just a copy-paste of the Nier story
at first I thought it was going to be a little interesting, but its slow and went nowhere
the weird super jump thing was ok
no, they outsourced it
development was almost fully outsourced, and published by Anipurna or w/e their name is now
the only connection to gamefreak was it used a bunch of their pokemon patents
such as turn-based battling, type advantages, the concept of moves
it's so funny that gamefreak is the patent villain
total speculation, but I think once it became clear it was not going to come together, they put some distance between themselves and the game
Its funny that my favourite pokemon game was not made by them
well, not funny, moreso telling
Anyways, its a shame pokemon will never flop so they are never forced to do better
I'll sorta take the other side, I think it should be easier for them to do it
not because of the infinite money or w/e, but because there's zero reason for them to make real games
So like Valve, when some of their lead devs get inspired to make something, it ends up being good
I assumed that's what Beasts was going to be
Valve is always so funny to me. Highly paying a small group of very talented people, but not forcing them to work on anything in particular so when they eventually manage to make something its good, but you never expect them to make something
