fuck you, you got the eclipse already
if there ever was a time to speedrun M64
tonight's the night
solar storms/ejections
we barely got missed by a killshot last night
that would have unirronically fucked the Earth
but now that all the scary heavy particles flew past
we get the cool magnetic waves and alpha/beta particles
they're not going to talk about this, because it would jsut scare people I think
but unirronically, I think this is the closest we've come to getting hit
in recorded history
I saw it posted on reddit when I was shitting earlier
idk the exact AU distance
but actually close
not like "space close"
Replying to legorhin #jazardly so how much is the global temperature going to increase from this near miss?
I think it decreases
Yeah we get hit by a solar flare and die the day before I'm home
Thanks god
solar storms tend to cool the part of the sun facing the earth
I legitimately cannot find a report on how much it missed us by
I'll find the number at some point next time I'm in work
Rare severe geomagnetic storm watch issued for first time in nearly...
The sunspot responsible for the odd series of strong solar flares is so big you can see it with your own eyes from Earth.
www.cbsnews.comok, I learned something new, the scale for solar flares is retarded
instead of Huricane or Tornado scales
