defender is also used very heavily in corporate networks, it tends to play the best with other edr solutions

Windows turning it around and making windows defender actually good is one of the few things I will give them credit for

so like crowdstrike and mcafee on same host, causes lots of issues, defender and crowdstrike dont

smaller companies will just use defender

actually my university used to use Kaspersky but switched to only defender

you need to test stuff like this, anything really, especially kernel level driver changes. then you should never ever push globally at once. usually you get customers to test qa builds(the ones who have been bugging the team for some fix or something usually), then move on to a release schedule by region. none of this may have happened

like any of those steps should have caught this
