Its less an emulation issue and more a time issue
I have too many games I want to complete in such a limited amount of time
I'd rather actually play the next two shantae games than start super paper mario

Does it know to differentiate when you are or not pointing at the screen? If I remember correctly, SPM disables your controls when you’re pointing.
Or alternatively, is there a toggle for pointing?

set up a toggle mute key and just toggle when you want to talk
That is how I do vc, I do not like push to talk
My headset also has that
I use both
you can set it as a custom hotkey
I do not remember how, but its in the settings
push to mute is probably toggle mute, idk you can test it
obs will mute/unmute if it works
I assume its toggle mute
I have both my obs and my discord as "toggle mute"
So that's prolly what you want
