Replying to TinyBomby #tinybomby people who do this are also insane. My previous boss had her screen entirely filled with icons to the point that you couldn't actually find what you needed. Literally pointless.
I agree, I don't like having to use a scroll bar on my file explorer, so if it gets to that point, I move things into different folders
it's all automated stuff from old installers for me
It's a working directory folder, that's a top-level location
50% of it is from
nevermind
I knew your computer was full of ants Pirate
Replying to reorruatrnte #toughbrook wtf is this from?????
looks like a shortcut, so just.... go to the file location
i mean i rememberd what it's from but it was funny
it was a steam game spooky or somebody got me but it was like 70 gb or something
so i never played it
If anyone has a hot tip to speed up Windows directories btw
I'd gladly take it
I continue to not understand how Windows is generationally bad at file tables
honsetly mostly what i do now that i think about it, is i just search files that i know exist somewhere in everything
everything is still the best search for sure
but I can't get over how after a directory has >100 things in it
it just can't handle
the worst thing about windows file explorer is how it insists on trying to compute metadata for every "audio file"
so if you ever open anything with mp3 or ogg it just freezes
there's probably some registry thing but i'm too lazy
it should just be simple to disable......
Clearly
we're supposed to jsut use OneDrive
that's the solution
i actually do use onedrive, onyl for school things so that i can easily do things on my laptop and main pc
since it's just treated as a folder
but no, my desktop is plain black and has a million things on it
i also have my powershell profile in onedrive i think so i have the same setup there for both my computers
same with every computer I use, home, work, and school
i inherited the blank desktop thing from my dad, who is slightly more autistic with it
he uses a SLIGHTLY different shade for every computer he has
I should boot up wallpaper engine from ~10 years ago
and see what HS Spooky thought was cool
