I've done a non-rando, non-routed speedrun of Hollow Knight in 2 hours
but I think with a rando it's completely random
because I just need 3 masks to start the final fight
you have access to the final boss immediately
the dream nail I got in our test run, is needed for me to fight the secret final boss variant
so whether I get that before/after three masks will determine which final boss I do

the zelda games are probably going to be the limiters so you can probably increase complexity if you want
There are some "fun" options I could turn on that make me more reliant on checks from other people's games
But I share Pikas opinion that it'll be fun to just fuck around beating non-route content too
