you can just kinda go through all the paths

i did not retread ground once

theres bosses you will miss if you just beeline the boss though

and chapter 2 has 2 very weird ass bosses that you can miss if you dont look around/interact with the random key items you get

and then i think every single chapter has a secret area

I'll keep an eye out

can you tell me what ringing the bells does, my prediction is after ringing X number of them, earlier levels change or new bosses spawn

ringing the bells unlocks the secret area for chapter 1

i think the game is good but i think the abilities have you end up feeling... too strong

somehow

usualyl abilities in games are too weak or they feel useless to use in fights and youre better off just meleeing and dodging as your main focus

but i feel like eveyr boss fight ive done, bursting with the insane spells and abilities then ahving the boss at half hp and just finishing it off is very common

I am of two minds about spells, I think the fact they don't recharge automatically upon respawn is good and bad if you yolo bosses you can usually beat them down first try, but if you fail, then subsequent attempts are slightly harder

because i always use the dumb spirit nigger at the start

though rn I've not found the game to be brutally difficult or anything, tbh I think I like where it's at the combat wouldn't hold up if they wanted to make this Sekiro teir I don't think
