yeah that could have worked

plus, the number of actual assassinations happening in history

i think instead of showing that not everyone on the south was pro slavery and most of the soldiers fighting didnt care less they would just show south is bad

was really fucking high at that point

I feel like they can only do the over-the-top setpiece with the poor downtrodden ex-slaves once or twice

before it overstays its welcome

there's a lot more to do though

like if they actually portrayed a three way outlook between the people that just wanted slaves/kkk, the rest of the south, the northerners that didn't care and those that just used it as a sticking point it would be really really good i think with the assassins creed lens

it really was a period of major assassinations non-stop

but i do not think they would do that i think theyd go super hard on like

I feel like you'd have to have Chicago as the big Northen city in the game

but like shitty guns, long open fields and farm land to hide in

since that's the iconic late 1800s early 1900s city

plus being black would actually give you a reason to have the hood on and always be looking down

and make you ostracized everywhere idk if it was actually done right i think that sounds like an unironically fun game

but people would of shit on it

better than what they're doing rn

i played iraq

it was fine i guess

i play them all usually but skipped shadows because yasuke was not a needed component

everyone I've heard who played it said iraq was fine I was sorta looking forward to a smaller game

but idk, something about it just seemed sorta dull

so I never gave it a shot

its closed off/not open world but it still has a lot of the open world mechanics

i prefer the old button spammy combat system too

this half baked weird combat system isnt really fun to me

I just wanted more Odyssey

well, I probably actually wanted the original style of game back

but those are long gone

i really really dont like the new combat they do for everything

their modern open world thing is fun enough, especially when they fill it with every relevent historical character possible

where it's an aciton rpg so you have like 10 different weapons

the lvl-based combat is dumb

and then you have like shitty movesets then everything is level gated
