ds1 has really good enemy variaty

The only problems are the optional areas

imp, tarus, capra, stone, harpies, ghosts, the maggot shit, silver knights, black knights, painting guardians, balder knights, like 50 different hollows that all feel different, necormancers, darkrwraiths, rats, the mini dragons, blowdart niggas, the trees, the giant cats, mimics, the weird spell dudes, the weird crystal crabs, the 5 different giants..

I liked how enemies were kept in the areas it made sense for them to be in

Elden ring has a decent variety compared to other souls games, just not enough for how big its map is

skeleton, bear, imp, virgin abductor, dog, basilisik (ds1 also had this), fire monks, hollows (1 type), hollow soldier (1 type), generic knights, octopus, giants, beastmen, caster men

and birds

and midgets

past that theres not many more

enemy types

if you dont count bosses

but im really focusing on normal enemies

because im ngl
