ig xbox had more desperate players than PC

I think it finally got the bullet when covid happened

whenever I wasn't playing monster I was probably medic

I think if Turtle Rock monetized it differently, or had more game modes on release I'd have thought more fondly of it

the 4v1 MP is fun, but same-y mostly the lack of monsters/maps, which was baked into their monitization scheme

I still thought it was a lot of fun

It's a fun concept, I think their failure scared other devs from doing asymetric games sadly

Dead by Daylight is a more boring asymetric game, and I can't really think of any other notable ones in the last 10 years

I think my favorite mode was planetary evacuation I think it was called

it was like 5 stages of the different modes with momentum being carried between the hunters and the monster

kind of like win more where if you win a stage you get a bonus for the next one or for the remaining ones

I think I'd gladly take an indie attempt at that genre

I get that it's probably pretty niche, but fun 4-8 player co-op games are exploding rn

and that seems semi-doable if you scope down the flashy bits

The first list are mostly popular indies or Nintendo games

or vegas

the 2nd list definitely feels more like a childhood game memories list

Bob have you ever watched the "high level" or speed runs of Mario Kart Wii? The skill ceiling seems to be insane in that one.

to be specific my only childhood kirby games are return to dreamland and epic yarn

I played dreamland 2 by myself and 3 during covid over parsec with one of my friends

I should've put it here in hindsight but mass attack is also one of my favorites from childhood
