I was interesting going through my lists, because I can tell my mindset shifted about how many things I gave 4s versus 3s too

I'm never going to go through and update my ratings to be consistent or any of that nonsense

but I think a lot of stuff would shift down if I did

I shift stuff a point from time to time when I see it and think I gave it the wrong score

up or down

when I started watching anime, I had a google doc where I actually ranked everything in an ordered list, 1-100

and eventually put in breakpoints of where the 4/5 and 3/4 lines were

that sort of falls apart at scale

I know what my own grading criteria are, it's ultimately just how I feel about something but I do think anything I give a 4 or 5 to I'd pretty broadly recommend unless it's super genre specific

I think it would be cool if there was a view in MAL that let you see shows from a specific season/year, grouped by your score

Anime.plus has something like that

i'm not a big fan of how this studio animates. Especially in the isekai where the face shadows make people look dirty
