imo, they got spooked by last year when they had a couple niche things too early that derailed the entire night
There are mainstream things that are better than bake of all things though
so this year they frontloaded eva and baka
but it was a huge mistake
I do not think the show that is famously dense with text is an enjoyable group watch stream experience
I think one of the issue this year is they quintupled up on "iconic" shows, for a stream that already is always going to have Toradora
I only paused for the opening text flashes and I rewound a few times throught the series to catch something I was sure I misread
I wasn't going to say it, but I was thinking the same thing Gent
watch out though, or he's going to have a VinnyGCrashout
I know nothing about that anime except it looks gay
Loveland nooo
I'm trying to think what the first actually niche thing I watched was
I have mine, but its before 2016
cybersix, because it aired on late night canadian tv because depsite being made in japan it was written by Canadians
well, the show was
the source was argentinian
Someday when I am ready to kill myself I will do a ghibli arc and actually watch a ghibli movie
but that is probably never
I mean, you won't like most of them
they'll be fine
yeah that is why its probably never
I sparingly recommend you movies for a reason
unless its too funny not to
yeah, I do not usually like anime movies
we never ended up watching a ghibli movie with Pix, that was discussed as a possibility when we were thinking of movienights for her
we did watch shrek though
and back to the future
and groundhog day (first time I saw that)
I think I have watched 4? or 5 anime movies that are not related to a series
most of which are spooky making me watch them via movie night or otherwise
