A few bosses actually use defend

Ok not always but 90% of the time

Slow world guarantees a safe turn to attack every other turn

The only reason it could be safe to attack is if the ai decides to just spend more then what they have

The thing is

Uh stillness prevents any damage from being done?

I still say that defending up to 4bp or whatever it was in BD and using your powerful stuff on that off turn would be way easier

Hasten world would still allow the enemy to do something every turn

Imagine having every other turn to yourself

No the slow world one is actually superior

Otherwise i probably wouldn't be able to break every other turn never taking more 3k aoe damage this is eassyyy
