It was a server that people who loved Rob could hang out on thanks to him

People wouldn’t have been so supportive of him if the urealms forums was the only way to talk to eachother

But it also was a place for the community to bond and become as close knit as it did

I admit that Rob didn’t make much off of LoM besides ad revenue and some off of the S.S. Stones

LoM only died because they stopped making content for it

It’s the fact that he actively doesn’t care if that makes sense

He doesn’t have to care

I see plenty of reason for people to feel pretty pissed off about that

Well think about this: what if blizzard just suddenly stopped updating world of Warcraft for no reason other than “they were tired”

The thing I dislike about what Rob is saying, is while he is totally in the right to take down LoM at any time, I feel he’s not in the right to be hard on anyone who was effected by the takedown of a heavily community driven game

So I get that now

I’d certainly push for a little more

Imagine accepting $50 for going on the show and then out of nowhere you find out Rob made like $20000

But then I learned that that was not the case and it made more sense

Because of how free form it felt

I just thought back when urealms was cool they did it for fun

I was surprised to find out he paid Roamin and Justin anything at all back in the day

But because none of the Lords ever did anything it was boring

I always saw a lot of potential for LoM to be more than what it was

In fact, I’d want to build it from the ground up with new lore

It wouldn’t be for the LoM community

Nobody probably will but hey

I want to download the map in case anyone wants to revive it like people did with Toontown or club penguin

Probably including myself but I was just trying to have a cool story arch and protect my party

I could go into detail about every member of my group and explain why they could be considered “that guy”

At least they’re predictable though

Except our Druid, but he was a triton Druid with no reason to be on land

Basically everyone in my group was a “that guy”

I saved that guy from getting killed in our first session too. Our barbarian was going to kill him because “every fight I get into has to either lead to their death or mine because honor”

Then our edgey anime swordfighter runs up and cuts off his head

I told everyone “just don’t kill him, that’s all I ask, you can knock him out and capture him”

So I was like “should I join my father or not hmm” and the group just killed him right there in front of me

He was turning everyone into a cyborg because he believed that’s what’s best for all creatures or whatever

Literally the first 5 minutes we found my dad, they killed him
