They tried to show how leia can use the force by saying she was trained almost to completion but edged at the last minute

But of course she has to beat Luke in their duel

Can assume he held back though

Luke was barely trained himself

I believe he spent months on dagobah

Well time works differently I think due to its connection with the force

relativistic time dilation

he also apparently fought Vader before empire strikes back in a comic so that’s how he held his own

but in between he had time to train
