lol
get Corona'd
sort of
the line is 1G ofc, since you can't get higher even on a business plan
it's hard, since CAT 6A is just becoming standard
my switch has 4 SFP ports, which I use for my servers
and then I have my main computers daisy chained with 10G rj45
and link aggregate them
there's no real latency, which is ideal for me
(mostly because I can't saturate a 10G line to my gaming computer)
On my desk I've got 2 traditional computers, and then in my rack I've got 3 "servers"
the beefiest server is a proxmox box I use for virtualization
and I have a dozen VMs (fuck containers) that I just run cool stuff I find on Github
then in addition to the proxmox box, I've go ta freenas box and a custom build I use to run our cult server
which is underbuilt right now
that's the cult site, there was more to it last year, but I'm a mix of lazy/busy and never fix stuff
and no, I'm into computers but I'm not CS
Spooky is a history major

unironically
I think server breakdown is like 90% engineers, I am in mathmatical physics, rusp is in microbiology
