if you click the trim or split thing you can choose the exact frames
no, I meant for splicing stuff
can you get a normal timeline
like every other video editor
don't know
I'm holding out for Windows 11
one day
huh
why
because Linux is and will always be a meme
idk if you guys have looked at 20.04 at all
they changed EVERYTHING
for no good reason
the depreciated apt
The big change with applications in Ubuntu 20.04 is the Software application itself. Apart from a few packages, this graphical application now installs software from the Snap Store. Who is this for
what Linux user, needs a obtuse curated store
why use ubuntu anyway
because it's the gold standard for Linux
and its for the victims of grandkids replacing their windows with linux
as a consumer OS
I hate the taskbar in Ubuntu
and they have said they aren't going to fix it
I hate sidebar taskbars, but that's not my main beef with the OS
I am liking elementary so far
From a consumer standpoint, I think Ubuntu is the only thing that has any chance of being used
and even then
they shoot themselves in the foot over and over
elementary is supposedly targetted at being easy to transition to from windows/mac
Isn't ELOS built ontop of Ubuntu?
no idea
i chose it for aesthetics
RHL is the current flavour of the month distro for industry
but it was such a pain in the ass to get installed
hasn't redhat always been the industry distro?
yes, but it's only recently it's gotten good adoption
last ~3 years
that's the first linux I was exposed to
my dad had a pc with it when I was a kid
If you had asked me a few years ago
I would have had a completely different outlook on Linux
with Windows being a pile of shit, and most casuals not needing more than a web browser (a la chromeOS, MacOS, or whatever)
I really though Linux could have capitalized
(read Ubuntu)
https://developer.elementary.io/ they have a custom language for app development apparently
Developer ⋅ elementary
Resources for designing, developing, and publishing apps for elementary OS.
developer.elementary.iobrand loyalty ftw
yeah, it's just built ontop of Ubuntu
